In 2024, with the help of our partners, we completed a project aimed at improving the process for filling and handling trays.
The project begins with an automated system for filling trays with soil. After filling, the soil is carefully leveled, after which the drilling unit (Da Ros) is used to create holes for the cuttings. Later, we will upgrade this to a system that drills the holes.
The employees then have the opportunity to fill the trays with cuttings. For already-grown cuttings, a separate treatment is available, in which an additional conveyor ensures that the cuttings can go through the process once again to achieve further optimization.
An essential step in the process is the treatment of the trays using a special covering machine, focusing on efficiency and the handling of both new and older trays. After this treatment, the trays are collected on a buffer conveyor, ready for further processing with the help of a forklift.
